Matson Lines: An eight-page color brochure issued in 1959, just a few years after the MARIPOSA and MONTEREY entered South Pacific service. 

The brochure opens to a three-panel aerial showing off the simple and handsome mid-century lines of these ships.  The deck plans are color coded and there are thirteen color photos including several of cabins.  The powder blue and yellow dining room decor is bright(!).  

While the MARIPOSA eventually went to China and was scrapped in 1996, the MONTEREY sailed on until 2007.
