United States Lines - From the onboard silver service aboard the S.S. UNITED STATES, an original "Glass Lining, Round, for Caviar."

The clear glass bowl measures 3.25" in diameter with a diameter at the base of 1.25", and is designed to fit into round cut-out in the center of the Manhattan Pattern caviar set. Attached is a scan of the page from the United States Lines silver manual that shows the caviar set. This bowl is referenced as #137B. It also is referenced as #117, "Glass Lining, Round, for Supreme." The bowl looks like it would fit into #116, "Pierced Supreme Collar, 5 3/8"."
