Besides the open Boat Deck and the wide passages on the Promenade Deck, there is a large outdoor area towards the stern on A Deck. A swimming pool is indicated in this space, which surely must have been one of those canvas contraptions. But there is also an airy Palm Cafe which looks like a wonderful spot to enjoy a cocktail at sunset. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eShips like the CALGARIC were a dime-a-dozen when the Depression hit.
