What I enjoy is the level of detail visible in the photos, especially the Smoking Room and Bar. You can examine the ashtrays (often available on Nautiques), glassware and china (ditto), liquor bottles (on your own), and the original murals on the walls. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAbout those murals - the late Mark Goldberg recounts in his book \"The 'Hog Islanders'\" the story of a voyage on the AMERICAN BANKER when it was chartered by American graduates of the famed Ecole des Beaux Arts heading to Paris for a reunion.  Passage was slow and the decor dreary.  To keep themselves amused, the passenger\/artists decided to spruce up the place by painting murals in the Lounge and Smoking Room\/Bar.
