Old Bay Line's newest steamers - STATE OF MARYLAND and STATE OF VIRGINIA - sailed reversed routes overnight, departed Baltimore and Norfolk daily at 6:30 p.m. and arrived at 7:00 a.m. One-way fares were $4.80.

Besides a portrait of the STATE OF VIRGINA, photos show the Main Stairway, Promenade Deck, Dining Room, Palm Room, Aft Saloon, Smoking Room, a double cabin, Pilot House, Barber Shop, and a bathroom.
