A private yacht and paddlewheel steamers share the river, and up on the bluffs is the famed Chateau Frontenac with the funicular leading down to the port.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe outside framed measurements are 33\" by 45\". Although old, I don't believe the frame is original to the print but it suits it perfectly. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBoth the LAURENTIC and MEGANTIC sailed the Liverpool-Montreal route and became troopships during WW1.  Only the MEGANTIC survived.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLAURENTIC was sunk in January 1917 off Northern Ireland.  The liner sank quickly, taking with her 350 souls plus a cargo of gold bullion.  The recovery of the gold lasted until 1924 and was one of the first major underwear salvage efforts.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVery good condition with a water stain to the upper left and a few nicks to the frame.
