So much so that he bought American Export in the early 1960s and rebranded it American Export Isbrandtsen Lines. The story of his life from his humble beginnings in a Danish fishing village to his peak as a large ship operator makes for an exciting tale.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eCoffee played a part in the story, beginning with early success in hauling coffee beans from South America to New York.
