But cocktail hour would be a disappointment. A few years earlier the deco-delightful Observation Lounge was cleaved off of First and given over to the ruffians of Tourist Class. A substitute, the Midships Bar, was carved out of the Long Gallery. It was decorated in tones of orange, green, and yellow, a combination of colors whose fifteen minutes of fame expired long ago.
