Product Description
Swedish American Line: A thirty-six page brochure promoting South American cruises during the winter of 1938-39.

There are lots of color photos, unusual for a pre-war brochure. The destination photos show Sugarloaf at Rio surrounded by low-rise buildings, Caribbean beaches without development, Havana with buildings that are actually in good repair, and generally paints a picture of a much more tranquil Caribbean and South America.

There are many photos of passengers enjoying the decks on the KUNGSHOLM including a view by the pool, skeet shooters, a large smorgasbord, the captain on the port bridge wing near two engine telegraphs, and spectators reclining in lifeboats to watch a folk dance.
