Product Description

Swedish American Line - A rare, fold-out (18" by 24") deck plan dated January 1947 for the DROTTNINGHOLM.

Five decks are shown in detail covering both First and Tourist classes. A starboard portrait reveals old-fashioned lines that hint at the ship's 1905 origins.

The ship first sailed as Allan Line's VIRGINIAN. After WW1 Swedish American Line acquired the liner and sailed her for the next quarter century. After WW2 duty as a prisoner exchange ship, SAL put her back in transatlantic service for a couple of years before passing her onto Home Lines.
