Product Description

Lloyd Sabaudo - A large (19" by 27") tissue deck plan dated January 1927 for the CONTE ROSSO.

Seven decks are shown in detail with color-coding for the three classes. You'll notice large First and Second classes along with an "Intermediate Second Class". Her original immigrant Third Class had been shortly before this plan was printed.

Alas, like so many great liners of the pre-war era, the CONTE ROSSO met a sad end during WW2. While sailing as a troopship in May 1941, a British sub sent her to the bottom. More than 800 lives were lost.
