Product Description

Cunard Line: A deluxe thirty-two page interiors brochure for the AQUITANIA from 1914.

The cover is a fine textured stock with the ship name embossed in script with a gold Cunard lion above.  The format throughout the brochure is a b&w photo on the left page with descriptive text on the right page.

It starts with a ship portrait and continues with First Class interiors: Garden Lounge, Louis XVI Restaurant, Palladian Lounge, Carolean Smoking Room, Elizabethan Grill Room, Pompeian Swimming Bath, Main Staircase, Adam Drawing Room, Gainsborough Suite, and Writing Room. Second Class photos show the Pergolesi Dining Saloon, Adam Drawing Room, and Kensington Palace Smoking Room (certainly no Second Class public room was so elegantly named!).

Of special interest is a notice stapled onto the first page entitled, "Cunard War Service":
