The fold-out plan (25" by 36") shows a large liner of 18,000 tons with five decks handed over mostly to First and Second classes. Third Class outdoor spaces and public rooms are shown jammed into the bow. Third Class accommodations were a deck further down and not shown.

First Class looks particularly fine with a two-level Smoke Room, a spacious Dining Saloon, and several deluxe suites midships.

The ALSATIAN sailed for Allan Line just seven months before the call-up to become an auxiliary cruiser. Canadian Pacific bought the line in 1917. Post-war the ship emerged as the EMPRESS OF FRANCE and sailed on until 1934. Her new sailing companion CALGARIAN didn't fare as well. After six months of civilian service she too was drafted into auxiliary cruiser duties. A torpedo ended her days in March 1918.

Excellent condition.
