Kaye Lamb, published by the Vancouver Maritime Museum in 1991, softbound, 150 pages.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe story of CP's transpacific service to Asia which began in 1887 with the purchase of three old Cunarders - ABYSSINIA, PARTHIA, and BATAVIA.  Purpose-built liners arrived in 1891 with the EMPRESS OF INDIA.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLamb has filled the book with many b\u0026amp;w and color photos showing ships, interiors, artwork, and posters.  Special emphasis is given to the EMPRESS OF JAPAN (II), the crack liner that secured the speed record across the Pacific in the 1930s.
