Interior views show the Smoking Room, Garden Lounge, Sports Deck, Lounge, and five cabins, ranging from suites to to singles. The staterooms to book were two forward-facing suites pm D Deck. The Bureau and Gift Shop were right out their doors while the Lounge was up a flight and the Dining Saloon down. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTragically, all five of Blue Star's elegant sisters were sunk during WW2. The fate of the ALMEDA was especially sad. The ship was attached by U-boat in January 1941. The captain was able to evade the first three torpedoes but the fourth one hit. The U-boat fired three more torpedoes into the ALEMDA and she sank six hours later.
