Each cabin had an entrance from the hall and from the Patio.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe French Line decorated each Patio door with this heavy 5\" by 7\" door knocker consisting of a wrought iron ring attached to bronze hinges at top and a bronze knocker plate at the bottom. It was non-functional as the knocker is permanently attached to the bronze fittings. The knocker still has splashes of the original blue door paint on the backside.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen the ship became the NORWAY, a swimming pool on a new deck was plunked into the space. But to let in light, the cabin windows were not blocked off, although the view was now the side of the pool. The chair measures 27.5\" wide by 31.5\" deep by 39\" tall.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs you can see in the attached photo, there were several of these chairs throughout the Smoking Room. Each one had a strap that hung down to attach to the floor, keeping the seat from toppling over in high seas.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe chair is in good condition with the original leather since supple. There is a little wear on the sides of the arms and one of the underneath cushion straps needs to be replaced. The chair was removed from the FRANCE in 1979 when she was converted into the NORWAY.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI have two of the Arbus lounge chairs available for sale.
